START DOING COMPUTER SCIENCE

* VARIABLES WERE SUPPOSED TO BE GIVEN NAMES
* YEARS OF PROGRAMMING yet STILL MORE TO CREATE
* Don't want to write code anyway? We have a field for you: It's called THEORY
* "Well typed programs don't go wrong." "Boolean satisfiability is NP-complete." "Every effectively calculable function is computable." — Statements dreamed up by the utterly inspired

LOOK at what computer scientists deserve your Respect for all this time, with all the circuits and computers we built for them
(This is REAL computer science, done by REAL computer scientists):

They have given us beautiful tools

I made a mess of the pattern and pissed off some folks (and apologized on the ground, of course). Pattern entries are not the same in Canada, I knew that, but didn’t know the extent of the differences! But at least my landing was good. It’s like landing a shopping cart.

Can someone with Foreflight see if they’re able to get surface analysis on the map layer? I know I can use the imagery tab for the old-school surface analysis, but I am curious as to why I’m only getting “no data” when I try to add the surface analysis layer.

Some of you may think this account is about programming, but in reality it’s about obsessing over real small details (sometimes to the detriment of my life at large). Don’t get it twisted, programming is but one view into this. Coffee, jazz, and aviation are the others.

The gcc source has some good finds:
CANADIAN=noIf build, host, and target are all the same, this is called a
@dfn{native}. If build and host are the same but target is different,
this is called a @dfn{cross}. If build, host, and target are all
different this is called a @dfn{canadian} (for obscure reasons dealing
with Canada's political party and the background of the person working
on the build at that time).

I am now instrument rated. It’s interesting, I’m very thankful for the additional skills. This give me and I feel like this rating. Be safe for pilot, but I can’t help feel the rating is also a bit of a burden. The skills atrophy so quickly! A lot of work just to stay sharp.

One of the saddest things about the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti is that you could tell that neither of them seemed to know the danger until it was too late. They believed they were operating in some version of the normal state (what Frankel called the "normative state") where the police usually respond with discipline and
restraint.

I’m on my bullshit again #ottawa
Screenshot of a Reddit thread in r/PuertoRico. The post asks, “¿Alguien sabe de boricuas en Ottawa, Canadá?” and says the poster lives there and wants to start a curling team to represent Puerto Rico in the Olympics in four years, ending with “¿Qué tan difícil puede ser? ;)”. In the comments, a user asks, “¿Y dominas el deporte suficiente pa eso?” The OP replies, “Claro que no, pero dame cuatro años y hablamos,” and then, “Piense más en ‘Cool Runnings’ y menos en ‘Miracle’.”
