A lesson from martial arts: Never be the aggressor. But if you are attacked, you have every right to defend yourself. Protect yourself, and find the strength to protect others from monsters that hide behind shadows and masks.

One step of healing is to not start catastrophizing in the quiet of any moment things feel "okay." It's disorienting to feel the weightlessness without shackles for the first time in years.

Maybe it's the hour, maybe it's things that influence thoughts, but as you travel in your journey: Be a Guiding Light. Be a Protective Shield. Be a Genuine Inspiration who helps others overcome their Pain. Be true to your Values. Be Good. Trust that Light triumphs over Darkness.

I have a bunch I wanna say about this, especially from my perspective of VO spaces right now, but before I do: TLDR: Ben is right, and it's not even just "now." It's just way easier to spot it now because of how connected online spaces have made us, as artists and creatives, in general. 🧵 Time:

These are the things people who care about what we do need to know about the challenges we encounter behind-the-scenes. Being non-stop ✨🌞POSITIVE🌞✨ may serve a VA's online persona, but it does a disservice to public perceptions of this career. It takes so much more resilience than you assume.

For anyone who wonders "Why bring up creeping that started 3 years ago?" Because Christopher Escalante never stopped. He was creeping on someone in his new main job just two weeks ago. The author confirmed the parties involved with me & stands by her words as a public statement. More have spoken out

Y'know, if I ever was told I mistreated anyone, or made someone avoid me, of course I would feel terrible, and do what I can to make things right, and of course, do better. Worst thing is to gaslight or tell them to "remember the good times"...as that shit happens, that is no apology.

A New Dawn I'm Michael Zekas. I'm a voice actor & content creator. I've worked in games, animation, & YouTube for 10+ years. I've been a casting director since 2018. From 2023-2025 I was the CD for a major YouTuber (You know which one.) Let's start a new chapter of magic. 🎨 @/bonezgraveyard

The past is crystallized into memories, but there's solace when you reconnect with someone and can at least rest in confirming how severely messed up the years of lies, manipulation, and abuse that ruled your life were while finding a shared passion for the future.

Not wanting an abuser to be working in a public facing position is not the same as casting them into exile I know it feels that way when you're a fan of their public facing content, but that's kinda why it matters that they shouldn't be in that position It dilutes anything resembling consequence.

Professionally Holly was up to 8mos late on other comms. She tried to screw a friend out of $300 of work. Personally she cheated with a serial sex pest. I'm still suicidal from years of lies & boundary breaches in that abusive relationship. The videos are gone. You're not entitled to an endorsement.

Proud of this man for speaking up! As someone who DOES NOT condone cheating and abusive/manipulative behavior (regardless of whether I or my friends have experienced it), it’s best to keep a distance from those people.

If you love someone, don't cheat. If you respect someone, stay out of their personal life. If you provoke someone, they can punch back. I'm tired of hiding in fear while you & my ex lied and played crybully for years. Christopher Escalante is a sex pest. My ex is an enabler.
