thinking about this is the path to madness imo, and i am 100% that table on the right. this is a both show curation thing, and a COST thing. a lot of indie show AA tables are just as absurd as the regular comic cons, now. i dont begrudge peeps trying to make their table back. 🤷‍♂️

lol it is genuinely so important to crawl out of your filthy little woodland mudhole from time to time and go to a convention or conference in your industry. The perspective readjustment in invaluable. Comics/publishing can be so isolating, it's VERY EASY to get the wrong idea about a LOT.

I know this is not the biggest concern going these days, but it stresses me out that basically every artist/writer/critic is now expected to create their own tiny empire instead of getting paid by any existing entity to perform a job they've worked to get good at!!!!
