Always worth reading the fine print. e.g., people citing a "study" done by someone at ThoughtWorks that concluded that asking agents to do TDD produced no discernible benefit. If you read the blog post, they actually failed to get the agent to follow the TDD discipline. Not the same thing. The real conclusion should be that LLMs don't follow instructions. So stop asking them to.

Something people don't tell you is that adult friendships usually have a half-life of maybe 3 years. It sucks, but I've learned to stop chasing people. It won't work and just tires both of you out. so much of what is driving personal AI adoption—that is, outside of corporate control—is the breakdown of community. writers can't find other writers to bounce their ideas off of. open source maintainers can't find other maintainers to work with. people picking up hobby projects can't find other hobbyists. even when you *can* find people it's an exhausting challenge to make time for integrating into the community. but the chatbot is always only a click away.
