I came across on my hard drive while looking for other things. I segmented the nervous system and part of the digestive system in this Atta vollenweideri head, then apparently I animated it and forgot it existed... This was based on CT data graciously provided by the Labonte lab.

To give a bit of a hint: I‘m working on standardization of 3d anatomy modeling, complex 4d interaction and changing the dynamic of visualization from serving to participating and maybe even leading in scientific research. And I so love what I am doing now. I almost wish I started earlier

Het is soms een rommeltje, maar in het 🐜Mierenreservaat🐜 doen de satermieren (Formica exsecta) het supergoed. Kost érg veel inspanning, maar ze verspreiden nu flink in het gebied dat we vrij maken*. Bij afsluitende borrel ook nog een kerkuil die naast ons kwam zitten, gezellig! #KNNV #Entomologie

I've been working to visualize the biogeography of the aphid's intracellular symbiont within whole insects. The pink bacteria live in the host's specialized bacteriocytes and embryos. Really excited about where this work is going! #FluorescenceFriday

Inspired by @flygirlnhm.bsky.social, I should probably post this one in my main stream as well. This neat model of Tapinoma nigerrimum s.l. was based on a bunch of focus stacks I made of an individual from a nearby colony. Resin printed in parts. Seen many talks over the last couple of years!
