Happy to share our recent preprint on experimental evolution for bleomycin resistance in yeast, in which we highlight both background-dependent mutational footprints and a shared molecular mechanism underlying their adaptation. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... #yeast #LTEE

Genetic background diversifies mutational paths but converges on membrane depolarization for bleomycin resistance in yeast
Drug resistance evolution is shaped by both selective agent and genetic background in which resistant mutations arise, but most experimental evolution studies rely on a single genetic background. Here...

Excited to share our latest work published at Cancer Discovery, in which we identifies a previously unrecognized mode of oncogenic signaling in RTK fusions. This work provides a framework for understanding intrinsic resistance to TKI and for developing rational combination therapies.

Excited to share our PNAS paper on the genome evolution of an early-diverging #amphioxus, Asymmetron lucayanum! There is a long and twisty story behind this work, which also explains the username choice of the lab PI @iamphioxus.bsky.social . 😀 @pnas.org www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

Excited to introduce the ScRAPdb work that we recently published at Nucleic Acids Research, in which we assembled a #pangenome x #multi-omics database for #yeast. This is one step forward for a pan-multi-omics understanding of genome & trait evolution. Read more > academic.oup.com/nar/advance-...
