Jeeez @asmartbear.com - that is one hell of an opener to a book. I rarely comment on books like yours but I was instantly struck by it. You nailed the founder mind at 4am. 👏👏👏👏 (This is the book shop.hiddenmultipliers.com)

Having released my daughter’s song on SoundCloud a few weeks ago, it seems odd to see 0 plays from North America? Yet 350 plays from elsewhere. Is that common with SoundCloud? #music #BlueSkyMusix #Musicians

I’ve been songwriting with my daughter and we released a track on SoundCloud a few days ago. It’s been getting a decent number of plays which is amazing. So I thought I’d share a tiny behind-the-scenes bit of home recording… it’s a beautiful way to spend time together 😍

In the explosion age of AI why would our startup, Debriefer, be doubling down on the seemingly mundane world of Forms?! Well, we believe they are one of the most overlooked yet best implementations of agents today. It started 2 years ago building digital twins 🤖👯 🧵👇

I’m working a lot with AI and have been for a few years now, but equally feel totally shit about the real world impacts on jobs and businesses affecting my friends right now. I don’t feel this is being spoken about enough right now. It’s very, very real and it genuinely affects families. 😕

Just listened to the @thepanel.bsky.social as I only heard half on Friday. Just wondering if anyone has listened to Benedict Evans on Lenny's Podcast? If not, I'd definitely recommend it. Would love to hear your thoughts www.lennysnewsletter.com/p/a-rational...

So um. I managed to finish and launch my first podcast using Sidebar! 🏆 It’s not perfect but I’m in a habit now of recording daily and trying to just improve a bit day by day. #buildinpublic

Lots of bugs fixed in usesidebar.app but this is the best update. Turn any section of your daily voice notes or your entire podcast into a themed, subtitled video for social media. Lots of polish has been added to ensure music beds correctly, text syncs correctly without killing memory etc.

Hey, 👋 I’m looking for iOS TestFlight beta testers for my new app Sidebar. If you’ve ever thought you could have a podcast but just never started, got stopped before you started, then this is for you…

Scary 😳 The first week of my FIRST EVER podcast is done and I’ll try and get it published over the weekend. It has been a lot of fun and learning as well as habit building. I know it won’t be great but I’m also keen to just ship it and improve. Wish me luck 🤞

Yup, I've been back on Claude. Introducing Sidebar - an app that I have wanted for ages. Daily voice notes that can be turned into a weekly podcast all from the phone in a standardised structure. Aiming for blog as a pod (but "plogging" isn't a nice word). TestFlight launching this week!

Claude Design already seems pretty incredible. But I have to say (self promotion), you should also try this with brandparser.com MCP. I produced a pitch deck, on-brand, correct logos, colors, audience, tone etc without needing to upload anything... in literally under 10 minutes 🤯

I just built this (it made up the content) using Claude Design and brandparser.com in under 5 minutes. It follows on from me using our co-working space as an example. So 2.5 minutes to get solid brand from a URL, and Claude used the brand via MCP and created this in around 5 minutes.

Eeeesh. My first hour on Opus 4.7 on improving a system that I have been working on fine for months with 4.6 and Sonnet. It was very slow, produced huge output and all the code and task were completely wrong. Actually felt like going back 6-12 months... 😬

In all the chaos of the news it’s great to see something like this. Looking forward to digging in as I gaveng read it yet - but it’s so refreshing to know that people are still working on big ideas like Forest City. www.forestcity.uk/report

Design.md files still have a big issue… LLMs work in a sandboxed environment. Prior to the release of design.md spec I had been using a bespoke llms.txt which was almost identical. In fact brandparser.com has both now so you can directly paste or use the MCP to access your design spec.

This was really fascinating for me. Building 2 new sites at the same time as doing our IT audit, I needed a nicer way to design consistent photography. I knew precisely what I wanted and how to set it up, and managed to get this perfect little editor, just for me, up and running in 1 hour.

First commit for Brandparser.com was Feb 12th. Then yesterday I had to make a presentation for our co-working space. It took about 3 prompts in Claude using the Brandparser MCP. I shared it and a designer friend (that works with AI all day), asked how I managed to get it so on brand... 😍🎉

A little update to brandparser.com that now means you can make adjustments to crawled data typography for brand precision. Everything is editable and now that this hooks up well with LLMs, having a great set of typographic guidelines keeps your generated work perfect each time.

🔥🎯 It has taken a *lot* of work to get this to work end to end. Basically: 1. I handed brandparser.com my URL (the image is a screenshot of the actual website for comparison) 2. I waited 2 minutes as it prepared my detailed brand guide 3. I configured our MCP server with Claude ...

Today's little update. Parsing design elements from a URL has been hard - much harder than I thought months ago. Each time I think it's there, I throw a different type of website into the mix and realise how getting consistently good results requires quite a bespoke pipeline.

Jim Hill @jimhill.uk · 01/03/2026
It has been extremely hard to get really accurate, consistent, fast results for parsing a brand. Just colours (colors) alone has taken a few days to refine with Claude beavering away. But it has taken a combination of human ideas and AI implementation to get a great solution.

Over the last 2 weeks I’ve been trying an experiment, can I build a production grade fully functioning SaaS (that I need myself) with Claude. It’s been really insightful and fun at the same time. I threw away nearly all the processes I’d been developing for a year or so…
