You know how some horror slasher movies just kept going despite the supposed end of the villain? May have started with Michael Myers as he's just a regular person nobody can seem to kill. Supposedly it ended with the movie "Halloween Ends" (but it seems nobody cared about that film). Well...

Well, this is meant to be a comedy. I don't think you really need that much of an excuse to have it happen. Besides, with every Halloween movie, despite Michael supposedly being killed off, they ALWAYS bring him back. So this movie could also parody that idea. He died... but is somehow back.

Just watch the 1978 "Halloween" movie and imagine the scenarios and situations the characters are in, just played more comically. It'd be kinda like "Scary Movie", but without winking too much at the audience. And it'd only be focused on the "Halloween" franchise, not a bunch of horror franchises.

...it'd be like a parody of the first film, or just the formula for the "good" films in the franchise, with the absurdity driven up for laughs. The way I imagine it, the characters wouldn't necessarily be trying to make us laugh. The comedy just comes from how over-the-top the scenarios play out.

My idea is to basically do what the first film (or any film in the franchise considered "good") did... but up the absurdity to 11. Michael Myers entering through anywhere, barring exits with certain tools, smashing his way through locked doors, being ultra hard to kill even with bullets...

...I recently thought of a funny idea for a new "Halloween" movie. Not so much a continuation of the franchise, but a parody of the films in general (or at least the formula of the very first one). Think of it as the "New Nightmare" of "Halloween" movies, only with more obvious comedy to it.
