We know this to be true. They ran a mile in PE then came in and begged to lay on the floor in the lab (uh… not a good idea?) so they could cool off faster on Thursday. I was so excited to use that as the jump off point for this unit!!after I let them go get water, that is.

Today was a teacher institute day, so I had work but no kids. We were allowed to wear jeans and T-shirts. I am super bummed no one admired my NASA Artemis II spacesuit shirt. I didn’t even get to share the story about the Apollo spacesuits and Playtex. Really a let-down.

My 8th grade boys asked me who my NBA team is, so I had to admit I'm not already a fan of any team. I just never got into the NBA for whatever reason. All this to say that the 8th graders are pleased to announce I'm a huge Timberwolves fan?

I have an old-fashioned crank pencil sharpener in my science classroom. I love it. My middle schoolers are terrified of it and usually ask me to sharpen pencils for them, which I do, because I love using the crank sharpener. There's probably something wrong with this, but I'm refusing to fix it.
