This is a super helpful GM tip that most people don't think about. Admittedly, in The Biggest RPGs there's a great deal of dice rolling for everybody in combat - but in a PbtA-type game, or a stealth or social scene in a trad game, if you ask for lots of rolls, you increase the odds of failure.

Due to half the regular Wednesday night group being out last night I ran the old FFG Star Wars Edge of Empire beginner game / boxed set. It turned out to be really fun & super approachable. The character booklets did an excellent job of explaining how to play your character right away.
