Headed to Cambridge (UK) for a few days. Anyone have any must-see/do/eat recommendations?

J Herskowitz @jherskowitz.com · 25/09/2026

I went to one of those assistive-stretching studios yesterday in Park Slope that had a wall of windows facing out to 7th Avenue and all its pedestrians. Now I know what it must feel like to be a Cirque du Soleil performer.

Does anyone that works there know that when you say "Meta Muse" out loud it sounds an awful lot like you are talking about a product that relieves occasional constipation and supports healthy bowel movements?

Achordion is a music site that can't play a song. Every Play action is handed off to Parachord, which does the hard work and then plays it through the music services you already pay for.

Just heard about a crazy phone scam that was attempted on a family member that involved multiple phone calls, a fake arrest warrant, insistence that the warrant "script" be read aloud in its entirety, with the ultimate goal of a "surety bond" to be bought at a crypto kiosk. Stay vigilant everyone!

I stood up a rough online demo with dummy data (it's optimized for lake houses at the moment because that's my kink and I built it for me), but I'm curious if real estate professionals (or their clients) would find such a thing interesting? propelligence-core.netlify.app#/p/harrow

I decided to build it. It's currently totally anonymous (bi-directionally) with no user accounts. Owner mints QR codes, prints them out an sticks them in their window (or on their bike, boat, or other of their things that sit in public spaces). Sender scans QR code and sends message. </scene>

Idea: simple anonymous QR driven communication channel so that people "leave a note" on your car that you actually get immediately. "Can you move your car?" "You left your lights on." "Sorry, I hit your car here's my info..." Intention is to be helpful but too easy to be abused by bad people?

Some firsts today: played one on my songs live, with a full band, at a real venue, with people in the audience (at a local Guitarmaggedon). It definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I'm happy I did it. I may even do it again some time.
