The relief for body and mind when you stay in such places and perceive with all your senses is priceless. Forests, the cornerstone of human life, need our protection and special attention. 💚🌿🌱☘️🌲🌳🍀💚

Waking up in Canada, trusting my food supply, my neighbor battling an illness & not paying a dime for their healthcare , excited for kids to go back to a safe school, welcoming new Canadians , trusting my vaccine schedule knowing that it’s based in science. Oh Canada, 🇨🇦

Shout-out to libraries. Where else can you just chill outside with a 4yo as you pretend to be magic fairies careening about a large grassy area, then pop indoors for air conditioning, coloring pages, and benches to read four books in a row that you then get to take home, no charge? Libraries rule.

A tree is never just a tree. It's a home for birds, a playground for children, a refuge from the summer heat, and a place where families make memories that last a lifetime. When we protect trees, we're not just protecting nature—we're protecting the moments that make life beautiful

Forests are more than just wood and are important for the water balance. The groundwater beneath a forest is clean, oxygen-rich and excellent for producing drinking water. That is why forests are particularly often also water protection areas. 💚🌿☘️🌱🌲🌳🍀💚

Walking in our farm's rainforest with the melting heat of these days, I am filled with such inexpressible anger at what is being done to our once stable climate. The richest 1% are actively, knowingly, and uncaringly sabotaging the future for all of us, and for the rest of the planet's life.

A tree does far more than provide shade. It cools the surrounding air, protects the soil, supports wildlife, absorbs carbon, and makes our cities livable. Yet we keep cutting down trees for concrete – and then wonder why every summer feels unbearable.
