50 years ago I was king of the deadheads (at a small community college in central PA). A fellow student wanted me to help him get recordings of Dead shows. Just try to stop me, I said. In exchange he turned me on to Laurie Anderson, Japan & Eno, among others. All that stuff was very hard to find.

I doubt there's anything like Rover here, but if necessary I'll look into it. No local friends. I only know other old people, all of them with enough troubles already. Last time I was in hospital a kind nurse took responsibility for my dog pal, but I returned to reports that she'd done poorly.

My latest medical adventure is unfolding. "Somebody" told me to stop taking an antibiotic in February, but I was supposed to keep taking it forever. Now my foot is infected & the doctor isn't sure the antibiotic will work. He wants me to go to the ER, but my dog friend needs me here.

Sometime after I drove my illegal car to the garage, the cop who now has an office in this building put signs up saying they're going to start towing uninspected cars. Funny stuff. I fought the law & I won! Before I even knew they wanted to have my car towed! 2 other uninspected cars out there.

I finally got my car to a welder/mechainic to get it legal. Health issues & lack of trustworthy mechanics held me up for a very long time. I hadn't driven for over a year, & also my favorite arm is messed up at elbow & wrist. My driving arm was also my shifting arm, but I didn't hit anyone.

I had "video chat" with someone at the credit union I used in Palmer earlier, & she said there was a liitle snow in Wasilla. Asked me about the weather here. It was exceptionally warm & nice today (still in the 60s after 1am!), but I just told her it was "cloudy." Which was partially true.
