In reverse, if I have an idea for something that feels too obvious, I avoid looking into it to keep motivated and so my interpretation isn't subconsciously taking from anyone else. This mindset ends up killing motivation a lot when I don't know how to do something and I'm too stubborn to look it up

My boss pulled me aside yesterday and told me starting next month I'm getting insurance pay. I haven't had health insurance in 5 years, mostly out of laziness because I haven't *needed* it, but it felt like a weight off my shoulders knowing I'll have some sort of coverage if I hurt myself somehow

Silver’s GHZ cameo over Amy was weird too but all the other stuff doesn’t really matter because Sonic was playable. It’s unusual that Rayman got 3 trophies being third party and not playable and one wasn’t even a franchise staple. There might be reason behind it but it was still unusual at the time

Not saying the trophy thing is proof of anything, but Rayman got himself, Globox, and Barbara. Globox makes more sense but Barbara not really. It’d be like if Sonic wasn’t playable in Brawl and they added trophies for him and Tails, but also Marine or Silver for some reason

Switch wasn’t my favorite console but damn it had everything on it. I have 84 games (only 5 are digital). GameCube is my favorite and I only have like 30 games. The 5 digital games are Portal 1/2, Marble It Up, Jay & Silent Bob, and Slayers X. I will buy them again if they get physical releases

That whole cutscene feels like it was made solely for exposition. I always thought the scene played out in Wild Canyon or Dry Lagoon which still made no sense, but it’s actually Hidden Base way before it’s revealed. Why is Knuckles just hanging around with the emerald? Why does Eggman even want it?

I have more fond memories of 8 on Wii U but 8 Deluxe is undeniably better in every way unless you really hate double item boxes. I almost said Wii U at least had asymmetric multiplayer with the gamepad but I looked it up to confirm and it doesn’t look like it did, wasted opportunity

I think I’m just tired of every game feeling like an anniversary release or is celebrating the franchise as a whole. The novelty has worn thin. Even though I didn’t love Lost World or Superstars I like felt like fully new games. There’s a bit of nostalgia bait but without making it a core gimmick
