Now that doesn’t mean you can’t bring a little whimsy and have fun since you know how to code. The only difference is now more people get to do that since AI can lower the difficulty layer to building stuff. So I repeat: Code was never the objective.

If you thought your job as developer was to just write code you were doing it wrong. Code was NEVER the objective. It was always a tool to solve problems: for yourself or other people. Be obsessed with solving problems no matter what tool you have and you’ll be okay.

Lately @bot improved and I noticed the quota is going by slower than before even doing the same amount of work so yay! I also hit the limit on my CloudAgent quota so I had to deploy alternative coding routes, but that’s a story for another time 😉 6/6

the @bot quota went FAST 😭 two things helped, I asked Dorothea to keep the bots' chatter terse, and @poteto (one of the Grok bot devs) pointed out that routines can eat your tokens. bots LOVE making routines so I keep an eye on them 5/6

in about 6 hours on just My Yarn Stash we shipped CSV + Ravelry import, an undo-import flow, migrated prod from Heroku to @FastAPIcloud, set auth custom domain @auth0, and updated all the docs the Ravelry/CSV import is the big one since users kept asking for it 4/6

i don't use the same AI model for everything boring well-defined tasks go to copilot as issues. lighter model for quick iterations, heavier one when precision matters more than speed
