i don't use the same AI model for everything boring well-defined tasks go to copilot as issues. lighter model for quick iterations, heavier one when precision matters more than speed

My first app I ever released was meant as an #ACNH companion to help keep track of the collectibles. The first icon was a green square cuz I clearly can’t develop an icon myself. But yesterday it all changed! I had Grok Bot create an actual icon and now it is live!!! #buildinpublic

you see HEAD~1 in git commands all the time, but what is it? 👀 HEAD is where you are now, HEAD~1 is the commit right before it. once it clicks, undo commands make way more sense ☺️

reset vs revert: which one should you use in #Git They both undo, but they're not the same. git reset rewrites history, git revert makes a new commit that undoes the old one, which is the safe choice on shared branches. Clip from my full video on undoing commits.

Old stashes pile up and cause conflict headaches. git stash drop throws away the most recent one, or add an index like stash@{1} to drop a specific stash. Keep your stash list clean.

Pushed a change but your GitHub Pages site won't rebuild? Make an empty commit. git commit --allow-empty -m "rebuild repo" creates a real commit with no file changes, and GitHub rebuilds your site. No fake edits needed.

Branched off the wrong branch by accident? git rebase --onto moves just your commits to the right source. Name all three branches: where to land, the wrong source, and the branch you're fixing, or you'll drop commits.

Fixed the soft wrapping for code blocks on the blog which I broke a few days ago and only realized TODAY! 😩 Added a function bar and line numbers to code blocks. That works both in dark mode and light mode. This type of thing it was hard to have before I redid the blog and this makes me happy 😍

ever renamed a file and git acted like you deleted it? 😅 to avoid this behavior use git mv old-name new-name instead. it renames and stages in one step. rename your files the #git way and skip the mess ☺️

how do you update branch with main? 👀 1 option: hop onto your branch and run git rebase main. it replays your commits on top of the latest main commits. staying current beats a giant merge later ☺️
