I don't think the flavor components of froot loops are public, but i know 1) the first time i ever smelled linalool i thought "froot loops???" and 2) linalool is one of the less volatile scent components of lavender. so its plausible that aging lavender could start smelling of froot loops

thinking about the 2017 eclipse again. you know what fucked me up? besides the obvious spectacle of it all? the new moon is always *right there.* once a month the moon rises with the sun, passes overhead at noon, sets with the sun. but you can't see her until she steps into the spotlight.

Thanks for posting about this game! Adding to the bug reports: solving a window puzzle produces a little text box saying "undefined", which I suspect is unintended behavior. (I hope that "undefined" isn't hiding something I need to progress. I have no idea what to do with these windows now.)

I've been experimenting with sestinas with 4x4 and 5x5 lines instead of 6x6, and IT TURNS OUT that n-inas with 3x+1 stanzas (4, 7, 10, 13-inas) have a fixed end-word that never rotates, at line (2n+1)/3. In the 4-ina (quartina?) it's at line 3. Not sure what to do with this but it's interesting.

yeah wasn't trying to suggest that romantasy is paranormal romance, just that it's funny that romantasy doesn't get shelved as romance like paranormal did. the secondary-world thing is a good call though. probably also the fact that fantasy became so much more mainstream post-GoT.

actually it's making me think about paranormal romance? my impression is that paranormal romance was marketed primarily as romance not fantasy-- "romance with vampires in it" vs urban fantasy's "vampires with romance in it". whereas romantasy seems to mostly be on the fantasy shelf.

I went for a hike and accidentally tromped through a lot of stinging nettle and now my legs feel... spicy? I was expecting it to be more obviously sharp-prickly, or maybe glowy-sunburny, but it's distinctly capsaicin-like.
