We couldn't trust the narrator, towards the end it's revealed she's been speaking her aggressive thoughts aloud. And that she's basically lied/forgotten about her children's ages, etc. I do think the plot fell apart a bit towards the end, but a lot of the info gaps are due to her being unreliable

it's fun and PLAYFUL! Each emoji is like a slight joke. The more emojis, the more playful I'm being. If I like you enough we're reaching one emoji per sentence territory together lol

If this was happening in ANY other profession on a regular it would be on the news. 'Oh yeah we just don't pay the staff on time, on a regular basis across the whole industry, because it's just not really worth the hassle?'. Okay so...that's illegal, no?

030

Jessica ☆~ @jessiedames.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Can't wait to work in an industry where they pay you on time because they're aware it's illegal not to do so and can result in serious legal trouble for them 😍🥰🥰🥰🥰

Yeah for a movie that insists it's about sexual awakening it sure did not once show the lead actress proactively desiring sex. (Which I'm guessing is part of the point ans her desire to be Perfect was 'replacing' her sexual desire? in whatever analogy we're meant to take away...?)

I mean that was deffo one of the best parts lol, but the next day 'it wasn't real' ruined my lesbian romance fantasies :/

I mean her mum was crazy but it also seemed like the protag had a history of M.H issues, so then I was like...well seems like she's done this before? I never felt 'away' from reality watching it, I think if she didn't have a history of instability it would've made it a bit more compelling.

I think I just dislike Darren Aronofsky's work tbh, I absolutely cannot stand Requiem for a Dream 😅. This was better than that at least. He's too American for my taste I think

Jessica ☆~ @jessiedames.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Also doesn't Perfect Blue have a whole stalker element, which imo makes her going crazy WAY more logical? In this it was obviously just various stressors in her life but like....idkkkk, I'm not convinced to see the film from her perspective. Like bro stop trying on ppl's lipstick :/

210

Jessica ☆~ @jessiedames.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Yeah I saw Perfect Blue when I was a teenager. I'm pretty shocked people are even comparing the two, they're similar-ish but it's not as much of a rip off as people are claiming it to be. I also feel like animation let me suspend my disbelief in P.B, whereas in this I was like...she's just unwell af

Stop telling me that 'laboursome' isn't a word, it is!! It just fell out of favour for 'laborious' (which, to me, isn't even as good a word).

Jessica ☆~ @jessiedames.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

They've changed the dictionaries that are built into most websites now. It keeps giving me a red line on words, I become confused because surely my word is a word. I look it up, my word IS a word, it is just British and quite old.

There's really no reason the top earner needs like more than $500 extra MAXIMUM per month, and even that is a lot. I've never understood rewarding the people who are already making bank with another $1000+, then bc they've been given so much only 50 models get prizes 😑...

130

Jessica ☆~ @jessiedames.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Although I very rarely use SM I prefer the way their contests work, most contests the top 500 earners get a prize *and* for a lot of contests anyone who works X amount of hours gets a bonus no matter what. Too many sites use money to pit us against each other when they could just be giving bonuses
