From the demo of About Fishing (2026). Long I've wished for a game that would take some occupation or activity simulator — trucking or chess, say — and surround it with an entire person's history of being. Here there's also a surreal mystery thriller. It's one of the best demos I've played.
Radiant falls a white sky on the steepled roof of a church ensconced among high cedar trees by an emerald river. This vantage is seen by a young woman in a short raincoat of yellow plastic across whose shoulder sags a fishing rod.An older man with a grandfatherly bearing sits by a sodden shore. A cigarette in his cragged face. In baseball cap and polo shirt — a fisherman's clothing. Through mere seams of eyes he asks, "What's her name?"In a yellow raincoat a woman stands in a lobby suffused with an ethereal turquoise across hardwood boards that solely comprise the architecture. On a small bench a child. She in dress identical.Wrapped in plastic, the serene face of a corpse with a countenance devoid of speculation. She rests amid the ribbon weeds and above is a small yellow fish at the end of a nylon line.

Pokopia is pretty much the perfect Pokémon game for me. I do enjoy the mainline games, but Pokopia makes engaging with the world and its inhabitants - the best parts about the franchise - a real delight. Still playing it after 150 hours.

I've been obsessing over Moves of the Diamond Hand this past week. It's really, really good, and I can't wait for the remaining chapters to come out. www.digitalspy.com/tech/a709962...

I get why Life Is Strange: Reunion turned out the way it did, but as a direct follow-up to Double Exposure, it's incredibly jarring.

Wow, had my best Sektori run yet. 18.1 million and 10th place overall for the Redeemer campaign. I'm almost ready to move on from the game now after nearly 80 hours, but I've really loved my time with it.

I think Act 3 is the weakest part, but I was so invested in Silksong overall that I reached the true ending with 100% completion. I'm not that fond of the first Hollow Knight, so this was a pleasant surprise. I guess Hades 2 is next.

Really enjoyed Silksong’s first two acts. Less so with Act 3 so far - there seems to be a greater focus on combat (over exploration) and I think it’s less interesting as a result.

Consume Me is out tomorrow. I really liked how the game approached narrative design - it's Florence-like in a way, but more expansive. Up there as one of my personal favourites of the year, for sure.

Spent the past few weeks playing and completing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC. Mixed feelings about the game itself (I'm not a fan of its 'more is more' approach), but the PC port is a lot better than Remake's. No mouse cursor support for menus is an oversight, though.
