That is an horrendously IN BREAD dog!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Ahem... Sorry ... I couldn't help it. I'll see myself out. 😳😂😂

Mad at having to stay in the crate when I can't watch him. He is supposed to be on strict bed rest, and he *hates* it. This is not a particularly active dog-- until you tell him he can't run around, I guess. 🙄 He is demanding constant pets as well. And chimkin.

He's doing well too-- sore, but not as bad as he expected! 🫂💜

Update #UglyDogs! Bennett is home and doing well. TOO well! He's supposed to be off the leg, but the first thing he did this morning was RUN down the stairs! 😫 He's licking, but just the bruises, not the incision. He hates his meds and needs a handful of treats with each dose.

A black and white border Collie lookalike sits in grass, his right arm shaved to the skin, which is red and purple and clearly sore. He has a surgical dressing on that arm as well, plus a green bandage on the other forearm, where his IV was. He is unbothered.

Same pupper lying on a grey blanket and a blue pillow, looking bored. Bed rest is not for him.

And because of you all, we're over halfway toward goal for paying for it all. I'm... basically speechless. I can't possibly thank you enough, and I know Ben would give every single one of you heartfelt puppy sugars. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. 💜💜🫂🫂💜💜

Update #UglyDogs!! The vet just called, he said Bennett did great! The repair was straightforward, and he woke up from surgery without any problems. He's resting there tonight and I can bring him home tomorrow-- with plenty of treats, of course!! 1/2

The vet's office just texted me, they're starting Bennett's surgery now. All the good vibes much appreciated. Also, if this wasn't enough, my son had (planned) surgery this morning, which went well, but good healing thoughts are very welcome. Have I told y'all how much I love you? 💜💜 #UglyDogs

Oh, that sounds lovely. Retirement, or just semi retirement, would also be amazing... The way this country is running, I'm likely to end under a bridge at age 80 while still working 40 hours/week.

Oh, hon. 🫂🫂 If you cry, then cry. A dear friend of mine used to say that tears are liquid love. This world needs all the love it can get. 💜💜

Moving is the worst. Next time I move, I think I'm going to chuck everything that doesn't fit in my car and call it good.

Ooh, I hope so! I liked that one too. I was genuinely not expecting Jean.

Brilliant idea. I support that notion.

Same! I'm actually really excited about it. I didn't care for Endgame when I first saw it, but on rewatch last weekend I enjoyed it a lot more. I still need to finish Loki...

My friend could really use some help getting essential plumbing/water repairs finished. He's doing the work myself, but the materials are about $661 before tax. I’m trying to raise $800 to get materials, tax, and any unexpected parts. Even sharing helps. gofund.me/1273406d8

We didn't get the TVA scene either. Apparently in the US it was only shown in select special format theatres. 😕

Yeah .. It happened at noon and that pretty well killed any birthday vibes. That's okay, I'm not keen on aging anyway. I just want my poor baby to be okay. 😭

Hi, I started this fundraiser, Help Bennett Get Surgery for His Broken Leg, on GoFundMe and it would mean a lot to me if you’d be able to share or donate to it. gofund.me/3783dc222 Previous link was wrong, so sorry! This is the correct one. #UglyDogs I just want to cry. Thank y'all. 😭😭💜💜💜💜💜

Well, this is not how I meant to spend my birthday: asking for a little help. My sweet Bennett got into a fight today and sustained a spiral fracture to his right humerus. He's going to have to have urgent surgery tomorrow... I've started a GoFundMe. #UglyDogs #DogsofBluesky💜💜 sms.gf.me/TEKlPpRD

A black and white border Collie lookalike lies on a vet's table. He is muzzled because even the sweetest dog may bite when he's in pain.

Bennett Blaidd, an 8-year-old mixed breed and border Collie lookalike. He is black and white with soulful brown eyes, and his mummy loves him almost as much as her human children.

Happy Birthday to me! I'm in a surprisingly good mood about it, which is an achievement. I forgot to ask off today, so I'm at work, but that's okay too. 🎂🎉🥰
