I'm so scared. My pulse is low, I have no more meds, the pantry is bare, and the bank is $250 over drawn. My breath is wheezing. All my joy is gone. I literally don't know what else to do. I'm so afraid. I don't want to be homeless at 57.

Well, I am done for. My pulse rate is too low for the doctor to sign off on my physical form. So, no job. No money. Doom.

The thing I didn't know about unemployment was the isolation. My partner is on the opposite sleep schedule and the time alone is crushing. I went from the nonstop chaos of a 3.5 year old boy's day to the echoing silence of my mostly empty house. Ugh!

Why are people? Two different people posted in a Facebook group, ostensibly looking for nannies for their children. Both turned out to be scammers. Why try to take advantage of a middle-aged lady who just wants to take care of a baby?

Jenx Byron @jenxbyron.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Life is so weird. I cannot get used to this new reality. I should have a job, if I can hold things together until my first check. But being a nanny is my identity now. How do I deal with with substitute child care? This whole time has been surreal.

Ken Paxton keeps dodging debates. So I’m challenging him to a debate on Fox News — his safe space. I’ll go into the lion’s den. I know what I believe and I’m not afraid of hard questions. Ken has been running from accountability his whole life. It’s time to stop running.

I still have power, at least till the 26th. Being home all the time is awful. I've had a baby to care for for 9 years. Anxiously looking for one more agency to apply to cannot fill a day.

Jenx Byron @jenxbyron.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I'm so scared. They might cut the power off tomorrow. I'm also just so confused. It was never so hard to find a job before. I want to cry, but my meds prevent it. I'm tying a knot at the end of my rope to help me hang on.

Now trying to track down Elhoffer Designs essential Aquarius dresses in pink and purple, size 3XL, because Reasons (tm). The Reasons are that I already have blue, yellow, and green, and if I can find the other two, I can Invoke the Names with sequential dress choices.

This is probably not the place for this. It's so hard to keep fighting. My job of 6 years is over, and I miss the kids so much. The job I had set up back in June fell through. None of the places I search seem to provide real job info. I'm a nanny with no baby. Everyone says look on the bright side.

Apparently people are sharing this far and wide on social media, which I think is horrible. This could cripple ICE operations. PLEASE do not share this.

It's the first Father's Day since mine disowned me. Although he wasn't the most loving dad, we did have some fun times. I was just too needy. I'm a little sad about it.
