It perfectly captures the feeling of being intensely paranoid, to the point where reading the book for significant amounts of time became very difficult, because of how agitated it made me. I will never read it again, but it's a masterpiece, and extremely effective art. I kinda love and hate it

Recently finished Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon. It's deeply uncomfortable, difficult to follow, often nonsensical, occasionally absolutely vile, ponderously long, I loudly hated it when I finished it, but haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. I think I might love it?
