Polaris, the children’s homes and foster care company, increased pre-tax profits by 53% last year, from £18.1 million to £27.8 million. The business charged councils almost £270 million over 12 months.

BBC’s coverage of Reform’s welfare plans is frankly bizarre. Headlines in Ten, leading on some radio networks. Reform are not even the official opposition and the plans have less credibility than Count Binface. Will BBC News do the same for Lib Dem and Greens policy two years out from an election?

This is an outrageous failure from Andy Burnham and this Labour Government. He says they "don't know the remedy." It's obvious to almost anyone. Nationalise water companies. Tax fossil fuel companies. Invest in renewables. Labour selling us down the river to please their donors as country burns.

I visited Camp Beagle in Huntingdon, where beagles are bred and kept in tiny cages. They have no access to outdoor space and are subjected to cruel experiments. These outdated practices must end and be replaced by modern, reliable methods.

Disgusted to see the US flag, along with the logo for Trump's politicised version of the 250th anniversary celebration, on display at the Scottish Parliament tonight. As the US descends ever further into fascism, MSPs should be standing alongside those the regime threatens, not with its leadership.
