I have to imagine a chunk of Pokémania’s wildfire spread came from color-coding the cartridges themselves. No need to ask “whatcha playing?” or even “which version?” Instantly your Game Boy looked like no one else’s—unless they had the game too. Red or blue, you were in the in-group. Gray cart? Nah.

Shiny Mega Glimmora is SO cool, but it’s working only okay from a strategy perspective. It’s just not really quite fast enough to cover all its weaknesses—even with Tailwind, when everyone runs that—and the lack of spread damage makes good reads more essential than I can manage 😅 #PokémonChampions

Other Pokémon I’d consider, sort of more-or-less in order: Dragonite, Tinkaton, Sableye, Spiritomb, Aegislash, Ceruledge (I like ghost types, ok? So sue me), Feraligatr, Morpeko… Empoleon… Porygon-Z (or ideally Porygon2) would be on the list if available in Champions, lol. (As would Nidoking 🫣)

Sale on Nintendo eShop credit at Costco (4x$25 for $80) last week, so I pre-bought the Pokémon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC that drops on Weds Till then, $30 is “two new outfits”—a glowing blue X set & a glowing pink Y set. Just when I thought I couldn’t make my avatar any more visibly bisexual…

Apparently, as of this AM, #Mewtwo is now available in #Pokémon #LegendsZA (It’s a free Mystery Gift (under Link Play—and you have to do a side mission for it, like with Diancie). Learned this when someone whipped it out at :30 remaining in online play. 😓 They won the match… but I KO’d the Mewtwo 😉
