There was a privately owned (non-blockbuster) one that was our usual as kids. It had this cool upstairs balcony bit that had all the kung-fu & horror movies. As an adult, I now know it was also the porno section. It was like 85% porn. No wonder the dudes up there looked at 8-year old me, terrified.

I've been really sceptical of IQ measurements since when I was about 14, I took one that said my IQ was 186. And I was like "idk I think I'm just super into online quizzes right now and know how tests work (...partly due to my practice on quizzes to decide if I should marry Aragorn or Legolas)"

First game on my new game-able PC: Darktide! It has been in my steam library forever, I was just a few specs under being able to play it. I can't stop smiling and thinking "Man...Warhammer is so cool." I really enjoy seeing it from a different perspective, like in games or in our Warhammer+ shows.

There was line in Malcolm in the Middle that always stuck with me for some reason. When Piama yells at Lois "No one is as useless as you think I am!" I think of it a lot in relation to misogynists who claim women didn't have an impact on history. As if an entire gender just sat out 300,000 years.

When I worked in IT for a fashion chain, got a call from a department mini-store. The laptop wasn’t turning on Over an hour of her telling me that the power cable wasn’t plugged in a socket, it "ended in a knot." It was the lock chaining it to the desk. Power cable was on the other side. Unplugged
