My romantasy is now sub in both the adult AND YA markets. The MMC is not a shadow daddy (really tired of these) though it IS both gritty and sweet/funny. It’s been a great Xmas full of games and puzzles, but I already want to take the decorations down. I feel so ready to start the new year after such a challenging 2025. I want to finish writing my second book, move more, and cherish every moment with my son before George and I become empty nesters.

Mom totaled every car she owned even before having a stroke. The doctor told her she shouldn’t drive anymore, and as soon as he left the room Mom turned to me and asked for her keys. My sister and I ended up hiding her keys on top of her refrigerator (Mom is 5’) and she never found them again.

I don't know if this is real or not. I just know that the sentiment behind it made me teary. If only we could be kind to people without them having to be desperate first.

I was stealing WiFi from Starbucks parking lot when the manager knocked on my car window. Living in my Honda for three weeks, using their internet to job hunt. Thought I was being sneaky, but apparently sitting in the same spot for hours every day isn't that subtle. "You've been out here all week," she said when I rolled down my window. I started apologizing, expecting to be banned from the property. "You applying for jobs?" she asked. 1/3
