If there’s any lesson on resistance to be taken from Minnesota’s response to January’s hostile ICE takeover, it’s that we look out for and take care of our neighbors. For this group show, 26 Minnesota artists—Adam Turman, Biafra, Bump Opera, Harriet Bart, Jennifer Davis, Kao Lee Thao, Piotr Szyhalski, Wes Winship, and others—will reflect on the acts of kindness that held our communities together to the point of creating a movement. At the center of the exhibition is Iced Out Guernica, a huge 21’x7’ aerosol and acrylic painting created by Rock CYFI Martinez, EWOK, Hottea, and Shock, inspired by Picasso’s anti-war masterpiece. "Standing before Picasso's Guernica, I understood that bearing witness cannot be passive," says Martinez. "Art can preserve what official accounts overlook or attempt to erase.” Half of the proceeds from sales will benefit recovery efforts in the community. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, August 27, from 6–9 p.m. 2014 Central Ave. NE, Minneapolis; find more info here. Twin Cities, this is one of the people who was working on top of the roof in Chanhassen when ICE trapped them on the roof. People rushed to their defense from miles away. But these laborers were stuck in freezing temperatures for hours at a time & suffered injuries. Please help as you're able 💙🩵

I got Cyclosporiasis in May 2018 in Minneapolis. The MN Dept of Health traced it back to cilantro from CA. I was withering away for over a month, and docs couldn't figure out the problem. I heard about the outbreak on @mprnews.org - called my doc, got tested, and was diagnosed.

Looking very unwell in May 2018- I think I lost 20 lbs from "EXPLOSIVE D" and lack of appetite.

I had cyclosporiasis in 2017. It sucked pretty bad. The diarrhea was really truly unpleasant (it was worse than “normal” diarrhea) but the hardest part was the cramps and the bloating. I lost weight, was dehydrated all the time, pretty miserable

It wasn’t just a phantom open car door- a person flung their door open without looking. (I feel for the person that made that tragic mistake too...) This is my worst fear while biking- getting door’ed in the bike lane. Drivers, please look back at the bike lane before you step out of your car.

Oh no! I contracted this in May 2018 in Minneapolis- 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. I was wasting away for a month without medical answers before I heard about the outbreak on @mprnews.org and got tested then treated. (Explosive D is an understatement💩😱💩)
