To save millions in data storage, the National Sex Offender Registry has announced it will merge with the White House’s government website. Sex Offenders can be viewed on the ‘Meet the Team’ page beginning January 20th, 2025.

Trump, who sold a whole bunch of idiots on not “knowing anything about Project 2025,” just picked Russell Vought, a key figure in Project 2025, to lead the Office of Management and Budget.

Trump said most of his nominations last time were terrible because he listened to bad advice from RINOs but this time he was going to make the decisions himself and choose only the best people because now he had it all figured out. Doesn’t seem to be going well so far.

The House Ethics Committee has voted not to release the Matt Gaetz report containing credible allegations of sexual misconduct including rape of a minor and sex trafficking. 5 Republicans and 5 Democrats each voted, and the parties deadlocked. Guess which side voted to cover up the crimes?

House Republicans actually voted today to block the US Senate from receiving their report containing sworn witness testimony and documentary evidence about the nominee for Attorney General of the United States paying a child $10,000 for sex. That’s where we are at.

Pretty sure all three are true. But 2 is the biggie. Because it's application is so wide. People are confused by, upset by, outraged by Trump. And they don't know what to make of or do with those feelings and the easiest course is vent about Dems. Full stop. 2/3 of contemporary political commetnary.

Holy crap! I admit, this never occurred to me. The reality TV show star, Grandpa Trump, really thinks he’s casting a reality show with his cabinet picks. Get ready for more along these lines. #JustSayin 🧵

These pathetic cowards. They needed one Republican to agree and none of them had the courage. “There was no agreement by the committee to release the report,” said Rep. Michael Guest (R., Miss.), the chairman of the secretive panel, after a two-hour meeting.”

For the next 5 YEARS!!!🤣🤣🤣😭🤣😭💀
With minimal time left in the Democratic majority, the Senate has now confirmed a new head of the Office of Government Ethics. In a 50-46 vote, senators voted to confirm David Huitema as the new ethics czar for a 5-year term.
This means the Biden pick will serve throughout Trump's presidency.
The move shines a light on the recent issues with the transition of power. Trump thus far has refused to sign any transition-related ethics agreements with the Biden administration. Without these agreements, Trump's teams are unable to transition to office or receive access to federal agencies.
The Office of Government Ethics is not only responsible for overseeing the executive branch ethics program and preventing financial conflicts of interest but is also heavily involved with reviewing Cabinet nominations. The Senate's confirmation comes at a time when many are questioning the validity and ethical standards of Trump's proposed appointees.

I think we underestimate how much of Republicans' signaling and decision-making is based not only on political expedience, but literal fear that angering Trump and his followers will endanger their — and their families'— safety. A quick 🧵

The point of bringing in Hegseth, Gaetz and Gabbard is to burn it all to the ground. Senate: You must recognize this and stop it.
Post from writer Tom Nichols:

If you want to subvert a democracy, the first three institutions you try to capture with loyalists are the military, the justice system, and the intelligence community. Trump is on the offensive against all three.

You may think firing federal employees is a DC problem but the person who delivers your mail is a federal employee. 85% of federal employees live outside the DC metro. In many places, they are around 10% or more of the local workforce. #giftlink www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

See where federal workers live in the U.S.
As a government shutdown looms, see where U.S. federal employees live. Only 15 percent of the 2.19 million federal employees work in the Washington metro area.
