Saturday, September 12: There's a very low risk of a few strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening in parts of western and central Arkansas. Damaging wind gusts and hail are the main severe hazards, but other hazards will include lightning and heavy rain.

Midday update, Saturday, 8/22: The SPC has upgraded parts of northern, central, & eastern Arkansas to a level 2 out of 5 risk. Scattered storms this afternoon into the overnight could be strong to severe, with the main hazard being damaging wind gusts. There's also a risk of isolated large hail.

A Flood Watch will be in place from 1am to 1pm Saturday, July 25, for parts of central, southern, and southeastern Arkansas. Heavy rainfall Friday night into Saturday could lead to flooding. Between 2 and 5 inches of rainfall is possible in some areas, with locally higher totals possible.

Remember the landspout tornado on June 12, 2026, in Lonoke County? The National Weather Service in Little Rock released their report on this landspout today, rating it an EF-U, or EF-Unknown. This rating is given when damage cannot be found, so the NWS can't estimate the tornado's wind speeds.
