I bought a velvet gathered turban and it's the most comfortable thing ever. I will be living my Norma Desmond fantasies from now on!

Since lockdown I've been doing 'virtual visits', zooming into schools across the UK and around the world to share my skills. Today, I'm working with a school up in Leeds. 👍 I'll make anything you want, with any age group. 🤩 If your school would be interested, get in touch. 😁 #edusky #art

Photos of me providing 'zoom based' virtual visits to schools. I help the children to learn some basic 3D skills and then make whatever they choose set-by-step. In the photos I'm making a fish, a rocket, and a tree. All of my work is constructed using cardboard and scrap materials.

My 8o is fascinated by Ancient Egyptian mythology and has been reading @louiestowell.bsky.social's Loki books. This has all combined together and now Evie wants to write a Loki-style book about Seth. Last night Evie designed the characters in the style of the Loki books.

Just finished Scuttler's Cove and loved it as much as I loved Withered Hill! Can't wait for the next folk horror by David Barnett.

Blasting music in the office to get me pumped up for live streaming author sessions to thousands of children across Liverpool. Paddling like a duck under the water. Let's hope I glide like a swan above!

I'm probably going to say this every week as a new episode goes live but seriously Chef and My Fridge is bonkers but brilliant! Definitely worth watching on Netflix

Absolute bargain found in a charity shop for £1 at the weekend. Brand new. None of the activities have been done. Gave it to my 8yo who is absolutely loving it- has already designed a character and is now making a map.

The cover of the Usborne Creative Writing book with a bookworm reading books, a pen with ink marks. An owl on a tablet screen

Absolutely loved Withered Hill by David Barnett. It's a folk horror that I'm going to be thinking about for some time.

Happy new year! RP to win a copy of 'Beyond the Secret Garden' by Darren Chetty & Karen Sands O’Connor. Trace how Black & racially minoritised characters have been represented in ‘the secret garden’ of British children’s literature from its earliest stages.

After loving Culinary Class Wars, I am so happy to have an episode of Chef and My Fridge to watch every week until April. It's totally bonkers but I love it. I really want to try all of the food!

CW for sexual abuse, assault and coercion. This is an upsetting and difficult read so be careful. Important to know though. Especially for teachers as The Graveyard Book, Coraline etc are often read in schools.
