Went on a proper twitch yesterday to see a black winged kite. Lots of people turned up and the kite obligingly sat in a tree for us. One old bloke had his email address written down so he could whip it out if anyone took photos. I happily sent him my blurry shots. An all-round wholesome morning.

A picture through a spotting scope shows telegraph wires with pigeons perched on them. Below, in front of the trees, a white bird is flying away from the camera. This is the black winged kite, a rare visitor. Hopefully it either finds its way back home or lives a long and happy life in Norfolk.

This is my first Big Crochet Project™️. Started back in March, I've just finished sewing the main shape of it together. Just some end weaving, a bit more sewing and a complicated looking strap to go. Just in time for winter.

Phone broke Friday. Revived backup phone Friday eve. Broken phone fixed but not guaranteed. New phone acquired. Shop transferring everything over. There was about a 2 hour window where I was phoneless. After initial panic, was considering an offline life. New phone ready soon. What have I done.
