I keep going back to Onimusha. I’ll randomly daydream about some of the combat because it’s just so cool and fun. It’s the only game I can think of recently where I might actually try to get all the achievements 😂

The world needs more whimsy and it feels kind of bleak when adding a little bit of flair to something is considered “unprofessional”

Well Dweller sucked me in and I had a hard time pausing to sleep and do other regular human things lol

Just look at Resident Evil vs the GameCube remake. That was 6 years but graphically an entire giant leap. You can add up the improvement between the original TLOU and all of the remasters and remakes and it still doesn't match the RE leap and it was a longer time/2gens between the OG and the latest

I wish you luck on your search. It sounds like you want something completely different. Unfortunately the only “alternatives” I’m aware of try to mimick its aesthetic

My friend told me once that he wanted to bring his laptop into the bathroom to pee during a meeting but he didn’t want the mute to not work I told him to just always have a baseline peeing sound in the background of every meeting and then people wouldn’t notice when you actually do lol

I played TOEM years ago when I had GamePass and I've been really excited for TOEM 2. It came out today and the bundle costs about the same as just buying the second one on discount so I highly recommend getting the bundle and playing both store.steampowered.com/bundle/89668...

It's a shame that this is stuck on the Epic Game Store on PC. I would love to get it on Steam. I technically can get it on Epic and add it in as a non-steam game on Steam Machine but then I don't get Steam features which sucks I hope they get the rights to it back some day and can release on Steam

Looking for a new Metroidvania game? 🤔 Well Dweller might be for you! Fantastic music, thrilling boss battles, lots of trinkets and secrets to find. Also has a great story that you want to keep playing and the game is charming. Why not give it a play and discover a new favorite? ☺️

I try to make as much use of the map markers as I can. Especially if I can SEE an item but can't actually get to it at that time or the same with a path that looks out of reach There's also no shame in using some kind of guide. I had to for some of the hidden items tbh
