Not only is gas power (methane) contributing to climate change via CO2 combustion emissions and uncombusted methane releases, many of these data centers are using power generation equipment with even higher emissions than industry standard gas turbines – so it is even worse.

Bracken as it's supposed to be: just one innocuous woodland fern among many. The immense monocultures now so common are a product of centuries of acute overgrazing – usually by sheep – leading to forest disappearance. They're another example of extreme *human-caused* ecological imbalance.

I have only just recently started digging into data centres and water, and the way companies are hiding vital information is beyond belief. It is so, so dodgy. The entire project to widely popularise the idea these concerns are "fake" makes so much sense in this context
