I'm old enough to remember, too, but I'm smart enough to know that the world is interconnected. Most shipping companies rely on computers as do most businesses. Will we die? no. But this is something that must be addressed by people now.

You're right it won't work without a power grid. HOWEVER, even before AI, how much of our world finance, commerce, and regular jobs required power and, since around 1980's- computers. Cars are computerized. Air travel is computerized. THINK. Seriously you're not that naive.
