Love some good comms. Every few weeks Councillor Doug Hall here in Ōtepoti puts an ad in either the ODT (or the neighbourhood paper, in this case). Explains the work he does, or in this case break down rates. 👏👏 so important as the usual suspects are complaining about cost of bike lanes atm. 🙄

Bus ads are actually quite good as they are being seen by lots of people. Ads are more like an awareness piece. A way to get your name out there. Saw this by @rachelbrooking.bsky.social and team, I haven’t spotted a bus with that ad yet though.

That didn’t take long. Written in sharpie “liars”. It pretty much the only billboard I see. When you are bussing or biking they tend to just place the signs at motorway entrances. A bit different to back home (NL) where we have dedicated spots and they are mostly in the city centre or at stations

Look at my Kōwhai blooming already! Only planted 8 months ago and just 30cm high, but doing so well. Also, I can’t believe that it’s now officially a year that I owned my first home (and still loving it)! 🥰 P.S. can AI do garden maintenance and make me a patio? 🙃
