I would accept any submissions written in a variety of styles - Victorian English, Journals, Chapters, Diaries, Dialogues, etc. The only thing I would ever ask is to be creative and reject AI Slop.

When I say my representatives and senators send nothing-burger responses to concerned citizens, I mean it. I wrote to my senators and representative about the anti-trans legislation in the CR... this is what I got from Senator Deb Fischer.

"Thank you for contacting me about setting federal funding levels for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026. I appreciate receiving your comments.

On Sept. 19, 2025, the House approved H.R. 5371, a short-term continuing resolution (CR), by a vote of 217-212. On the following day, the Senate failed to advance the legislation, falling short of the 60-vote threshold needed to clear a procedural hurdle. I voted to advance H.R. 5371 because this straightforward and nonpartisan CR would have funded the government at FY 2025 levels through Nov. 21, 2025, giving Congress additional time to pass bipartisan full-year funding bills for FY 2026.

A funding lapse hurts hardworking public servants and their families and ultimately, the American people. It is unnecessary. We should pass a clean CR to keep the lights on and give Congress time to finish full-year funding bills through regular order. Instead, Democrats are holding up funding with last-minute demands that include $1 trillion in new spending, a permanent extension of COVID era tax credits, and the elimination of the $50 billion Rural Hospital Stabilization Fund.
