For the follow up, Scarecrow was voiced by long time Star Trek recurring guest star Jeffrey Combs. With this redesign (which was explored in a tie-in comic book which crossed over with the 2012 versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Professor Jonathan Crane's new costume more resembled an undead corpse with a broken noose hanging around his neck. and given Combs' background in horror, this made him perfectly cast for this particular version of the animated Scarecrow.
