Chapter 8 finished! Friends were telling me that this is the worst section of the game. And while yes, it is an endgame fetch quest, I honestly didn't find it too bad, because the setting and mechanics really sold the stakes of the situation. Some of the side quests were a pain in the ass, though.

OSTober Day 11: Always Stuck in Your Head Kirby (series), Masked Dedede Theme There's nothing wrong with this theme. In fact, I love what they did to take Dedede's normal boss theme and amp it up. But it's the short loop time of the song that gets it stuck in my head. youtu.be/scQgHrBll9c?...

Chapter 7 complete! And things are getting weird! As I'd kinda hoped for at this stage of the game. I will admit, I wasn't a big fan of how this chapter was structured and how repetitive it was. But it looks like the next chapter is gonna be more interesting in that regard.

Chapter 4 finished! Man, it's funny that I just finished replaying Brothership, cause there are some neat parallels here. But this chapter, while it was a detour from main story, it was also mostly character-focused, and it's nice to have one of those sections in a game.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership (replay) I'm continually reminded of how much fun the new art style and battle system are. I've also gained a new appreciation for the main villain, and playing on S2 removes all the lag in endgame. It may not be my favorite M&L game, but it's still a fantastic entry!

Chapter 3 cleared! This is the first time I've been a bit upset at this game's marketing, because imo the big twist here would've hit harder if I hadn't seen one thing from the official trailers. That said, I do still like the new character. We're all a little mad here...

It wasn't an impulse purchase, I did my homework. I played through a decent chunk of the demo, got jumpscared by Erica Lindbeck's voice, and got to see the game running in the opening mission. And hey, it looks pretty good! Dunno when I'll get around to playing it, but I'm glad I now have it!

Chapter 2 finished! It was great to catch up with <Redacted>, and while I am starting to see a pattern in the chapter narratives in this game, I expect to see some variance in the storybeats. Playing on the new Advanced difficulty's been fun! It's still a moderate challenge, but not a taxing one.

Without a doubt, Super Mario Galaxy. It was the first game I played that gave me a cohesive gameplay experience, with an imagination-capturing setting, and a simple, yet layered, story for my young mind to get invested in. It absolutely altered my brain chemistry, and taught me that games are art.

Y'know what? I'm okay with this. Splatoon Raiders felt like a complete experience. It isn't a live service game like the main Splatoons, and I don't feel like the game is lacking anything that a DLC pack or content update would offer. It'd be cool if the game got more content. But it isn't needed.

The Mandalorian and Grogu This movie surprised me. Great characters, some frankly brutal fight scenes, and a story that fits right in to the Star Wars canon. It's a fantastic continuation of the Mandalorian saga, and a must watch for fans of the show. But outside of fans, it's hard to recommend.

Coyote vs Acme First off, screw Warner Bros for trying to bury this gem of a movie. Yes, gem. While it can be a bit uncanny to see cartoons and live action at the same time, it works in that Space Jam sort of way. And the story, while not perfect, was surprisingly interesting! Highly recommend!
