If you want full time or freelance work in game accessibility you need to be obvious. People looking for future hires, either full time or freelance are always keeping aware of names, skillsets, expertise to fill gaps in their knowledge. You have to be present or you'll miss out on opportunities.

You found it! It's a fun thing for our community. Having little things in our blog gives more incentive to open it and "hunt" for something. A cute little moment to be a reminder that fans are fun and to loosen up in the best way. A reminder of whimsy - but cute! Our community managers are the best💜

Yay XR Accessibility! So proud of our new Snap Turn feature. It was developed when snap turn was exactly what I needed. I had surgery, resulting in frequent down time, and this feature allowed me to playtest from bed without needing to turn my body. Owning this project made it much more meaningful.

Are there examples of games or apps in VR with captions for non-speech sounds, such as "BOOM" for an explosion or "SNAP" when a character snaps? Non-VR games with captions would be great to see as well. #A11Y #XR #gamedev

Another VR design insight. Embodiment! Your players want to be themselves role playing as someone in your world. They don’t want to be a “named character”. Don’t do a “voice in head” instead the world should react to how they choose to play. Even if it’s not the “golden path”.

Today was Long Covid Awareness Day. Main thing I want to say is I do think training us to abandon each other to permanent disability helped pave the path to fascism we’re now speeding down. Popping on a mask at the grocery store won’t cure all, but it’s one way to interrupt the eugenicist project.

Chart of US adults reporting a disability. A jagged gray line bounces around 30 million until March 2020; after, a jagged orange line climbs steeply and linearly toward 35 million.
