I listen to a lot of music, 27,654 different tracks in the last year. I’ve never heard this song. And looking at the lastfm stats, it’s not a tremendously popular song, though I’d say lastfm’s serve userbase doesn’t tend to skew Country.

What a clown show. Took me 4 attempts to create a password because dash, underscore and asterisk weren’t valid in my randomly generated password from 1Password. I then removed all special characters and it finally shows me an error that actually clarifies which characters it will accept 🤦‍♂️

We can now see the effects of the changes lastfm made. After all the talk of taking their ball and going home, 19% left the platform, while accounting for ~60% of the API abuse. There’s still many users scrobbling impossible amounts of tracks, but they did get many of the biggest offenders to leave.

Highlighting BTS now having 19% less listeners and 60% less scrobbles. While still having scrobble counts that clearly dwarf any other act on the app.
