@Krazov That is absolutely true. However, my point was that we should not be obsessively focusing on the EU's own losses and risks. The US has a lot to lose as well, which is what the EU should make them understand. Appeasement will not achieve that.

Trump has been doing a lot to weaken the US and facilitate China's rise in his second term, but he did in term 1 too. First thing Trump did in office was cancel the TPP, promising "better" 1-on-1 deals and getting none. Effectively flipped a smart China containment strategy into US containment.
