I spent 2.5 hours hammering out my dissertation topic, plan for qualitative research, and future impact for my fellowship report. I'm even developing a new methodology. I feel emotional and accomplished. It's so good. I can tell this will one day be groundbreaking work.

When I was younger I played the piano and for the most part, I focused more on playing by ear because I was lazy (had undiagnosed adhd) and couldn't be bothered learning how to read music - although I eventually did. According to Ancestry.com's new 'trait's feature, my dna says I can play by ear.

Grief sneaks up you so suddenly. I realized I missed the day my daughter Iris Giana passed - May 23 (2017). It was Naomi's last day of kindergarten and I guess in the excitement, it slipped my mind. I'm the only one that celebrates her memory, and I fucking forgot. I don't know how to process.

Nothing has changed because those who went - who believed protests actually "work" - also probably thought the "fight" ended after the protest, and they went back to their normal lives. They are not used to doing the fighting AFTER the protest because we normally do that. They aren't angry enough.
