I'm starting to get quite specific, relevant pitches from writers with gmail addresses and links to a couple of online publications, but that are kind of dubious in this way. It's a shame because it means it's harder for genuine new writers to get looked at amid the dross.

Andy Donato, whose cartoons shaped the look of the Toronto Sun over the past six decades, has passed away, a week after his retirement was announced. There is currently an obit on the Sun's website. His work, which graced Toronto newspapers for over 60 years has a complicated legacy.
