Between the "Jacob Geller getting a full ass new life and success after sexually violating someone" to "Asha Sharma gave some of your former media peers her personal number" I am feeling a real way about stuff going on in here.

I have no clue what bubble the men I've been seeing around this week live in but I vividly remember getting several emails about reported SA in dorms around IU during my time on campus. And that's just reported! Imagine how many went unreported at that rate?

one of the reasons why i have become so supportive of more content moderation enforcement and stringent community guidelines on social media is because we have got to stop tolerating people behaving anti socially on the internet it’s an epidemic, we have to start dealing out consequences

Both Ramses and I have received messages ranging from mildly annoying to deeply disturbing. Some people have gone out of their way to find our names and phone numbers. Some of you have told my husband to kill himself.

To anyone who has done that: shame on you. My husband is a father, a son, and a person deeply loved by people who know who he truly is. Our children need their dad. I hope and pray you reflect on what you have written.

it's so interesting (mainly odd) that fortnite releases skins for child characters, like stranger things or kingdom hearts, given the game has like guns and combat and such. Like if Roxas shot me and did Hot to Go with crocs on I think I'd implode.

Even just the airport mission is throwing me like how many layers of government authority signed off on that one?

a thing i suspect: nolan's portrayal of odysseus was informed by polybius' account of scipio aemilianus following the destruction of carthage

Scipio, when he looked upon the city as it was utterly perishing and in the last throes of its complete destruction, is said to have shed tears and wept openly for his enemies. After being wrapped in thought for long, and realizing that all cities, nations, and authorities must, like men, meet their doom; that this happened to Ilium, once a prosperous city, to the empires of Assyria, Media, and Persia, the greatest of their time, and to Macedonia itself, the brilliance of which was so recent, either deliberately or the verses escaping him, he said:

A day will come when sacred Troy shall perish,
And Priam and his people shall be slain.

And when Polybius speaking with freedom to him, for he was his teacher, asked him what he meant by the words, they say that without any attempt at concealment he named his own country, for which he feared when he reflected on the fate of all things human. Polybius actually heard him and recalls it in his history.

The initial video game crash in the 80s happened, in part, because of the oversaturated market, just countless ripoff games and slop that no one was buying. Then there were layoffs, studio closures. It didn't fully recover for a few years. History repeats itself etc etc eternal suffering etc etc
