Love my tweeds. It’s such a versatile and varied fabric. Here’s one of my favorites, in a color called Lovat green, though there’s no green in it. The effect is achieved by blending threads of blue, yellow, and red.

I posted a few weeks ago about a vintage turntable my son and I were restoring, but I never showed the finished product. We did all the soldering, polishing, etc. ourselves, and it works great! We’re pretty proud of ourselves.

I’ve spent the last few weeks restoring a vintage turntable with my son. We’ve had a great time with it, and I’ve loved seeing him take ownership of the project with me. Here’s the restored base. We added ports to the back to eliminate the cables coming out through the bottom.

After about ten minutes, I brush a little butter on the top so they get nice and golden brown. There is already a lot of butter in these, and there will be more when they’re done.
