York: After Dark Last week Sue & I visited York to see our youngest & do a bit of sightseeing. On our last night I went for a wander around the old town. The streets are different after dark, strange & uncertain, the shadows uncanny with dark possibilities. I made these images along the way 🤓

Metro Brum isn’t blessed with an iconic mass transit network like some places. However, our Tram system is slowly growing and during 2026 I’ve found myself lingering along the city route, intrigued by what images I can make. It’s kinda crept up on me, but it’s becoming a full blown project 📸🤓

Heralds of the Dawn. The Summer Solstice at Stonehenge is one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had. Just before dawn, the surrounding fields filled with rolling mists. And from within, eldritch figures emerged, heralds welcoming the dawn. Turned out they were locals 🤣 Stonehenge, 2026.

Tenby, after hours. Whilst on holiday in Tenby, South Wales, I made a few images around the town after dark. I’d forgotten how empty these places get post 11pm. We’re so used to cities being 24/7 places. In the real world, closing time really means closing, and the places empty of people.

Demolishing history. Parts of the old Selly Oak colleges are currently undergoing demolition. Westhill & Selly Oak colleges were once an internationally significant campus of multi-faith colleges. Over the last 25 years its old buildings have either been re-purposed or demolished. #demolition
