Truth being told, it feels weird calling myself an artist. I like to think of myself more as a pixel hacker. But that's unnecessarily euphemistic, yeah? Art is art, in the end. I can make art, now. It's an old truism, but it's amazing what you can do as long as you keep at it and don't give up.

Folks who've followed my work for a while know that, generally, art/mapping are consistently my two big weaknesses. I've had many hiccups because of troubles with those two. I don't like having weaknesses. So for the past decade, I've been trying to learn how to draw. I think I've made progress.

On one hand I appreciate the "make bad art" calls to action, because they are invested in encouraging people to do art things (which they should!) even if they don't think of themselves as "artists" or whatever but most of the time the bad art... isn't bad? why are you calling this art bad its good
