Amsterdam Centraal Station. Early morning.
Heavily under exposed, tracks gleaming in the morning sun, the yellow of the trains shaded orange, a grid of windows panes lit from behind.

Just finished @matociquala.bsky.social ‘s The Folded Sky and it was a joy to read. Fun characters, both human and not-so-human, and a rollercoaster like story. I think, I finished it in two sittings…

I really enjoyed Between Two Rivers by @moudhy.bsky.social. Loved the way she makes these ancient people seem alive and relatable. Really enjoyed how she structured the book and kept it from being overwhelming. Loved how her being part of the story made it all come together.

Finished Death of the Author by @nnedi.bsky.social over the weekend. Wonderful book, keeping me in suspense until the last page. (Yes, I “assumed”.) Well recommended. Thank you for writing it!

Oh… I’d forgotten the book. Read it a long, long time ago. Translated in Dutch with wonderful illustrations by Anton Pieck. www.antonpieckmuseum.nl/wp-content/u...
