Pretty much good general advice, yeah! I have some more specific detection methods since most of these accounts are automated and pull from the same set of resources, making them predictable and searchable.

The best defence is to just engage more in art and treat it less like a commodity. Have fave artists to commission some day, actively look for new ones to follow, be able to name an artist just by recognising their style, etc. If you just want art and don't care who makes it, scammers will get ya!
