I had mixed feelings about Liquid Glass when it was initially announced. It looked really good, but the UX integration seemed half-baked. This is worse than half-baked.

Which border style do you like better? A is a standard border. B has a slight fade into the card. Borders around cards aren't standard on iOS, so I wanted to see if something semi-neumorphic would work better with Apple's design language. 1️⃣ Border A 2️⃣ Border B 📊 Show results

I spent the weekend building out European football support in Boost Sports. Here's a preview of the new UI, highlighting the Premier League.

Question for anyone who’s taken a look at the Sports page in Boost Blue (or who just wants to chip in from this screenshot): Did you think these cards were tappable? What did you think would happen if you tapped them?

There are parts of this comparison I don’t love, but those parts are the most accurate so…

Asking Claude “Based on all of our previous chats and what you know about me, name a movie character who resembles me most. Give me the name only. Nothing else.”

Answer: Ken Miles

Something I’ve been testing for @boostblue.bsky.social this weekend: Any search query can be saved as a “feed” you can pin to your home page.

Prefacing this post: we are safe. We’re in Ouray CO, and a fire started below the town. For now it’s burning in the other direction, and we’re leaving in a few hours. There are (evacuated) homes that way as well though.

This got worse, and neighboring states are experiencing some of the same.

Preview of @boostblue.bsky.social on iPad with Liquid Glass! This has taken a bit longer than I planned because I've switched directions on it twice, but I'm happy with this approach. I'll be testing and making small tweaks for a few days, but this should be out sometime this week!

Some UI delight for Video Feeds in @boostblue.bsky.social - when you swipe to a Video Feed the rest of the interface darkens, matching TikTok’s more immersive video first design. #buildinpublic

In addition to hiding @boostblue.bsky.social navigation elements for Liquid Glass, I updated the standard navigation effect to be truly full screen. #buildinpublic ⬅️ Before | After ➡️

Working on hiding Liquid Glass navigation elements when scrolling for @boostblue.bsky.social. I have a ton of fun working on these smaller UX refinements. #buildinpublic

I’m going to start using a new configuration of @boostblue.bsky.social each week to properly test different combinations, and figured I might as well share each week’s variant. This week I’m using: Arimo Font Nord Dark Nord Light With Liquid Glass enabled
